Every Make scenario you built last year: could you still explain it today?

Come back to a scenario after six months and it might as well be somebody else's work. Module names like "HTTP 3" do not help.

Documentation is boring right up to the morning it saves you.

What do you do so your old work still makes sense to you? Or do you rebuild from scratch every time?
